The purpose of Doxa Deo Edendale School Hostel is to please God. We seek to do that in several deferent areas related to children and families.
We believe that one way to bring glory and honour to God is to care for children in our hostel. God has given the job of caring for children to parents (Eph.6:4) but when parents cannot meet this responsibility, God instructs the believers to help. This ministry of caring for children is very important to God. God says that he himself becomes the father to the fatherless (Ps.68:5) and that it is pure and undefiled religion for us to care for those without parents.

Creating a culture of discipline and self-discipline so that learners grow into responsible adults who can become City Changers.
Providing nutritious, home cooked meals that are healthy and balanced.
Providing the opportunity for hostel outings so as to broaden the horizons of our hostel learners. This way they gain real-world experience for their future.
Making sure that there is always time for recreation and entertainment just as you would provide at home. This creates time for learners to socialise and build the relationships with fellow hostel learners that create bonds that last a lifetime.
